Cancelation:
We ask that all customers give us a notice before end of business hours the day before if you wish to cancel or re-schedule your appointment. We will send out reminders prior to your appointment. If sufficient notice is not received, then a 50% charge may incur.

Drop off:
Please be punctual. Make sure your dog is either on a lead or in a carrier. Although your dog may be well behaved, we cannot guarantee all dogs you encounter have the same great qualities. Please try to arrive early if possible, to toilet your dog prior to entry and to fill out your customer forms. To ensure efficient running and timing of appointments, please advise us if you will be running late. A no-show results in lost income, so any appointments not taken up within 15 minutes of the allocated time will be considered as cancelled and 50% of the groom may be charged.

Aggressive or dangerous pets:
Owners must inform us if your dog bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people, other pets or any specific grooming procedures. Muzzles may be used if necessary. Muzzling will not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. Le shaggy chic reserve/stop the services for your pet at any time before or during the process. 20% of the service may be charged if the groom is to be discontinued for reasons that we are not made aware of.

Pick up:
We work by appointment and as we are a dog grooming salon, dog minding services are not available. Staying for extended periods of time can cause your dog stress, so we advise that you please be punctual when collecting your dog. You will be advised of a rough collection time at drop off, and you will be contacted once your dog is finished and ready. A late pickup fee of $40/hour may be charged. Grooms can sometimes go on for longer than expected and you will be made aware, if this is the case.

Matted dogs/de-matting:
it is the goal of Le Shaggy Chic to make your dog’s visit with us as calm and stress free as possible. Matted coats and de-matting need extra attention during their grooming session. Matted coats can cause a lot of problems such as irregular air circulation to skin, cut off air supply to extremities, bruised and discoloured skin, open sores and rips and become a breeding ground for fleas and parasites. In severe cases we feel it is necessary to shave the fur in order to let the skin heal, this will be discussed when you arrive if required for your dog along with the cost of a matting fee.

Double Coated dogs:
Le Shaggy Chic will not offer a service that is not in the dog's best interest.
For this reason, we reserve the right to refuse to clip any double coated dog unless it is for the management of a medical condition.
